4 October: Pre-Congress Workshops                    5-6 October: PCCS 2023 Annual Meeting

Registration - CLOSED

Conference registration includes attendance at the full 2-day conference (5-6 October) and a welcome drinks reception on Wednesday the 4th of October. Refreshments will be available throughout the days, and a delicious fresh lunch will be provided. Membership rates are available for those who are PCCS members.

Our pre-conference workshop day (4 October) has a varied mix of workshops which can be booked at an additional cost.

Accommodation - SOLD OUT

We are delighted to be able to offer a limited number of rooms at a discounted rate at The Scholar hotel which is on the same campus as the conference venue. The accommodation package is a 2-night booking (Wednesday 4th and Thursday 5th April) for a twin room.

The Scholar is a newly refurbished hotel located in the beautiful grounds of the Pollock Estate, just a few minutes’ walk from Arthurs Seat, Holyrood Park, and the Meadows and within walking distance of all of the City’s world-famous landmarks.

Social Events - SOLD OUT

All conference registrations include a ticket for our welcome drinks reception which will be held on Wednesday 4th October at 6.30pm. Dinner tickets (for Thursday 5th October) are available on a first come basis and include 2 pre-dinner drinks and a 3-course meal.  The dinner will be held at the historical Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh, only a short walk from the conference venue.  We will be offering the opportunity to join a scenic social morning conference run with colleagues, as well as some time to sample the delights of a fine malt.

* Price quoted for single occupancy. You may also share the room with a colleague, with an additional £80 room charge (£380/2 nights/2 people). Your colleague's details will be requested at the time of the booking.

Terms and conditions of booking

1.  Bookings for the PCCS Annual Scientific Meeting must be made online. They may be paid for at the time of booking, by debit or credit card or an invoice may be generated.   2.  Payment made by card (debit or credit) will generate receipts available immediately after a successful card payment from the automated booking system. 3. It remains the responsibility OF THE DELEGATE to ensure that payment is received by the Secretariat. 4.  Savings are to be made by booking at the early registration fee. The fees will automatically increase on the date shown on the website. 5.  The final joining instructions for the 2023 ASM will be issued to registered delegates before the event. We ask all delegates to take responsibility for reading and digesting the content of the final joining instructions, accordingly.  6.  CPD Certificates will be issued to registrants on the completion of the post-event survey. This is an honesty-based system and delegates should claim only the number of CPD credits which match their attendance at this event.  Cancellation Policy: Up to 1 month before the conference (23.59 on 5th September): all aspects of a booking package can be cancelled with a 10% administration fee. - Up to 2 weeks before the conference (23.59 on 19th September): 50% refund of dinner/accommodation costs. Workshops and conference registration can be cancelled with a 20% administration fee. - l Less than 2 weeks before the conference - no refund of dinner/accommodation costs. 50% refund of workshop and conference registration fees. - Up to 23.59 on 1st October - registration/dinner/accommodation can be transferred to a colleague by emailing the event manager with the new delegates email address and full name PCCS reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, amend or postpone the Conference as a result of circumstances not within its reasonable control. These include, but are not limited to, acts of God; epidemic or pandemic (including Covid-19 and any variants or threats of variants thereof); any occurrence which presents a serious threat to the health of delegates; terrorist attack, civil war, civil commotion or riots; any law or action taken or restrictions imposed by a government or public authority; and/or collapse of buildings, fire, emergency or accident. In the event PCCS has to cancel the Conference in such circumstances, PCCS will offer delegates a full refund but shall have no other liability in connection with the cancellation, rescheduling, amendment or postponement of the Conference as a result of circumstances not within its reasonable control. PCCS will not be able to consider any reimbursement of travel or accommodation arrangements. Refunds will not be provided in the case of scheduling or content changes.
