Conference venue

The John McIntyre Centre is located in the University of Edinburgh’s Pollock Estate at the foot of Arthurs Seat, a 335 million year old volcanic plug. This location provides easy access to pop out for a breath of fresh air in the surrounding green space. Alternatively you can take a longer walk around or up to the summit of Edinburgh’s highest point, both of which offer fantastic views over the city and coastline.

Within the local area are a wide range of cafes, bars and restaurants to suit all tastes. Edinburgh also offers a wealth of sites and attractions for visitors who have some free time around the conference programme.
